This freedom contributes to the child’s developing trust, social skills, and responsibility. Transpose that to the United States where children are always under the protective eye of an adult. There is a growing movement in the USA called “free range children,” or “free range kids.” The movement states the safety concerns are over inflated and permit their children to enjoy the freedoms all children once enjoyed in the USA as now enjoyed in Japan. We went to the 25 floor of the Bunkyo building near the Tokyo Dome for the best free view in Tokyo. After that we went to a Giants vs Dragons baseball game and sat in the best possible section at the Tokyo Dome! The crowd cheered chants the entire game and it made the low scoring game much more enjoyable! Can we bring it to the U.S.? We wandered around Tokyo Dome City a bit to see the shops and rollercoaster but we didn't go on any rides.
